Mark Hayes has been writing for over 30 years, amassing a catalog of over 600 titles – and this selection from 25 years ago demonstrates the gifts he has shared with us. The infectious melody is well-supported by the challenging accompaniment. After a slower second section, the opening theme soon bursts back, this time stated in major, and the anthem eventually closes in a flurry. Some of the vocal parts lie a bit high in the voice, but this anthem is worth the effort.
