Almost every choral concert could use a little more humor. This work was arranged for the King’s Singers recording, A Tribute to the Comedian Harmonists. Thus the arrangement, according to their performance notes, is all about virtuosity and visuals. The choir should have fun channeling their inner bassoon or horn or flute, and the tempo at the end should threaten to become unmanageable.

A review of their YouTube performance makes everything clear. The piece really needs to be memorized for best effect, but it is repetitive and catchy, which makes that easy.
