For the church choir director looking for well-crafted choral compositions in the “Contemporary Christian” genre, Allegis is a newer publisher whose material is well worth reviewing. Bruce Greer has arranged a classic song performed by the group “Glad” in the early 1980’s. The song is full of vocal harmony and counterpoint in its original form, and therefore transitions quite well into a rewarding choral arrangement. The orchestration is not required for an effective presentation, but piano is essential, rather than organ. Difficulty is moderate, and there is minimal divisi for soprano.
