Liberatum combines a flowing Latin motet style with a primitive musical expression. It uses Latin text, nonsense syllables and English to convey an urgent cry for freedom. While this piece is not specifically a “multi-cultural” song, Jim Papoulis uses a palate of rhythms, sounds and tonality that transcends the globe. It is very sectional, beginning very lyrically and ends with huge intensity. High tenor solo.
