A beautiful setting of Psalm 102 for Lent or General use. Chris (local Minneapolis composer and Greek Orthodox) composed the piece as part of the St. Mark’s Choral Series. Altos and tenors divisi, basses divisi only once. Sopranos remain unison throughout. Granias carries the choir through some rich and interesting chordal texture, emerging from c minor. He develops the yearning and insistence for God to listen to our prayer and supplication that is timely in the atmosphere of war. Each part has interest and together they create a sonority that is pleasing and different. It is of medium difficulty but the choir will love the end product.
