Rejoice! Here is an example of fine poetry in an expressive, challenging, musical setting. Floating over a gently undulating pianistic accompaniment, the choral part is tonal, dissonant, and ever-shifting. The texture alternates between homophony and short polyphonic passages. Structure and harmonic motion are very satisfying. I have found this to be a restrained and moving work and well worth the effort to perform it well.
