Run to You was made famous by the pop a cappella group, Pentatonix. The original chart is down a whole step, featuring their unique voicing that includes a basso profundo and countertenor. While the high key brings the counter-tenor line to soprano II and the tenor line to alto, the whole octavo can be a bit low in a few places. This provides an opportunity to explore a low, rich, warm sonority in the choral tone. Additionally, this is a piece that could be performed by a more traditional choir, and not only a dedicated pop a cappella ensemble.
