Our choir frequently gets requests to sing the National Anthem for school and extra-curricular events in the community and this is a great arrangement. There are several suggested combinations of voicings: unison, 2-part treble (S/A), 2-part changed voices (T/B), SAB, SATB, and SATB with descant.

Before I learned of this arrangement, I usually settled for unison singing of the anthem, but with the Boyd Bacon arrangement, there are many ways to perform it. Try one or try them all! It could be great fun to teach this arrangement to multiple-age groups with the various voicings and then combine them all (like a K-12 school) in performance.
