This lovely arrangement of the beautiful German carol Still, Still, Still by Audrey Snyder is perfect for a winter concert and is adaptable for either treble or mixed groups. My students loved learning and performing this selection in German. The countermelody complements the melody beautifully and can be assigned to any combination of voices. When using the 2-part or 3-part arrangement, the descant can be sung and/or performed on a C instrument (flute or violin).

The composition is in 4/4, D Major, and is an opportunity to introduce the German language, and to teach and/or develop vowel production, line, slur, legato phrasing, breath support and diction.
