This is a delightful setting for one piano four-hands and choir. In addition to serving as organist and choirmaster of Calvary Episcopal Church in Cincinnati, Helvey regularly collaborates in concerts and recordings of four-hand piano literature. The energetic accompaniment reflects his skill in that medium. A light rhythmic touch is needed by the choir to stay on top of the 6/8 meter. Voice leading and ranges are friendly. Bursting with joy, this traditional English choir anthem absolutely dances from beginning to end. This selection sounds harder than it really is, and is a ton of fun to sing.
