This Joshua Shank arrangement of “Where Is Love?” is an incredible new take on an old classic. Joshua manages to bring this older tune into the modern day by creating lush and exciting harmonies, while maintaining the simplicity of the original melody. The ACDA-MN Directors Chorus at Summer Dialogue performed this piece to thunderous applause by peers and students alike. “Where Is Love?” provides your choir a chance to be challenged by simple unison lines and complex, thick harmonies (8-9 parts). The piece opens with the presentation of the melody in unison and provides a great opportunity to teach line and phrasing. As the piece progresses towards the climax, the harmonies gradually increase in difficulty and complexity. The part writing will allow your singers to challenge their ears and to do it in a way where they are properly prepared to take on the challenge. Both you and your singers will enjoy learning this tune!
